This year’s Christmas luncheon was a delightful event. The people of Amici’s provided a delicious meal and cozy spot where we could relax and enjoy some great company.
2016 Christmas Luncheon
What special holiday traditions are a part of your family’s history? What memories do you have of your childhood Christmases? Just because we remember them doesn’t mean our descendants will. Take a few minutes to jot down special memories, the story behind an heirloom ornament or the recipe for a special dish so that future generations can better understand and appreciate their heritage.
We lost an American hero last week. John Glenn not only was the first man to orbit the earth, he was also a U.S. Senator and a fighter pilot in World War II and the Korean War. I was quite surprised to learn that another American hero was his wingman – Ted Williams!
Don’t forget that beginning in January our meetings move to the third Saturday of the month with meetings beginning at 1:00pm.
