About Us

Since 1989 the St. Augustine Genealogical Society has proudly served both those seeking information about their ancestors who lived in the St. Augustine/St. Johns County area and those without local ties who wish to connect with other family historians.

Castillo de San Marcos
The Castillo de San Marcos has protected this town since 1672.

The Society is dedicated to promoting interest in family history and supporting our members in their genealogical research efforts. Our monthly programs include topics related to research methodology, technical support and storytelling.

Our Society motto adopted in 2017 is Our Ancestors Live Through Us.
